Masterclass

A literate and hilarious examination of gender and power.

June 3, 2026 - June 6, 2026 | The Corleck

Event Overview

Presented by Luminato Festival, Masterclass is an award-winning satire that turns the art world on its head, skewing masculinity, sexism, and entrenched power. Staged as an artist interview, it reveals the uncomfortable truth behind the myth of the “great male artist”, and why he continues to dominate, even long after he’s gone. The show begins in the form of a cockamamie masterclass performed by the savagely comedic feminist Adrienne Truscott and all around good guy Feidlim Cannon. It’s fun. It’s familiar. There are wigs. But there is something more at play. Using the arts world as a metaphor, Masterclass is a literate and hilarious examination of gender and power. Winner Fringe First Award – Edinburgh 2022 – The Scotsman

"Magnificent, unmissable." The Scotsman

"A magnificent send-up of the anxieties of the age." ★★★★★ The Irish Times

"Inspired interrogation of the 'great male artist'." ★★★★★ The Stage
